I began playing guitar at age 12, later studying jazz in high school and attending Berklee college of music during summers.

In March of '83, at age 17 I enrolled at GIT where I played and studied with Joe Pass, Joe Diorio, Howard Roberts, Jeff Berlin, and Joe Porcaro. I was heavily influenced by their playing as well as by classmates Frank Gambale and Scott Henderson.

After graduating from GIT I returned home to Boston where I played professionally while earning a bachelors degree from Boston University.

Shortly after moving to Albuquerque in 2000 I became musical partners with Ben Martinez, a 22 year Navy Jazz Band veteran and college clinician with Randy Brecker.

Together we formed the Ben Martinez Project, aka BMP, a modern jazz quintet consisting of Ben Martinez on guitars, myself on 6-string bass, Bob Miner-saxes, Joey Santiago-drums, and Santiago Robledo on percussion.

We are currently finishing our debut cd expected out this October, and preparing for our annual trip to perform at the Texas Jazz Festival.
